Testimonials

“I know Gracie personally, she took care of my 10 years old for 5 years and now is taking care of my other son. She is amazing! I have peace of mind when I leave my kids with Gracie because I know they are in good hands. - Rosa T.

Philosophy

In our program, children are invited to be part of my family. I believe that a play-based curriculum helps children explore their interests, and I make sure that the activities we do every day are only a guide - often I change our units and activities based on what I see little ones are interested in!

At Grace’s Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel supported as they engage with new ideas and learnings.

Location

Gracie’s Bilingual Group Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, cozy home in the Bushwick neighborhood. The entire floor has been converted into a school environment, with ample space for children to create, play, and learn. Children have access to my backyard where we play outside daily and we will also use the front area for picnics and to play outside during dismissal when the weather permits.

Our program is conveniently located near the L and J trains, and we can store your stroller when you drop off if needed.

About our program

We make sure your family is involved. You will receive updates through videos and photos from me throughout your child’s day, and twice a year we will hold a get-together so parents can meet each other and see some of the activities and photos that we have taken. In addition, I will hold parent/teacher conferences throughout the year where we will discuss your child’s development and make sure you can match what we’re doing here at home.

Our outdoor space is incorporated into the education of every child. In the backyard, my fruit trees will blossom each spring and we’ll get to eat the produce! Kids love the picnics that we have in the front or backyard with the food that I make right here on site! We also plant a garden together, digging our hands into the real life cycle of plants.

Children are able to develop vocabulary in both English and Spanish. My CDA is certified bilingual and I am fully fluent in English and Spanish, so your child will get support in their development in both languages.
