Our Teachers
Hi, I’m Mayra and I’m the Director of Marin Family Wonderschool! I’ve been working in the childcare industry for over 12 years. I was inspired to start my own program when I had my first child and realized how much of a positive impact I could have as a teacher and second mother to other children. I am extremely passionate about working with, supporting, and caring for children. I have 32 ECE credits and a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit. I am honored to have the opportunity to fulfill what I believe are my two most important roles in life – mother and teacher – and I am happily committed to both positions for a lifetime.
Assistants
We have a few Assistant Teachers at Marin Family Wonderschool. Mayra’s husband Rudy is one of our assistants. He is a nurturing and loving father, and brings the same enthusiasm and care for children to the classroom.
Mayra’s mother-in-law and Jesse are also Assistant Teachers.

Philosophy
Here at Marin Family Wonderschool, it is our goal to go beyond academic aims of early literacy and numeracy and set broad learning and development goals through activities that let children be children.
Location
Marin Family Wonderschool is located in a beautiful, welcoming home on a quiet block in Koreatown. We are near two family-filled parks, just off the 101 and close to the 110.
Inside, we have a dedicated room for infants and two other rooms for our toddlers. There are specific learning areas equipped for science & sensory, dramatic play, rest, arts & crafts, motor & music, and reading. We have a big, fun backyard for the children to play in during daily outdoor time.
About our program
Our program focuses on the development of the whole child, beyond just academic knowledge. We believe early education, love, and health are vital to a child’s lifelong success. This is why at Marin Family Wonderschool, we treat everyone like family.
Our role as providers is to guide and support the children in what they want to explore and learn. When given ample support and direction, children will far exceed any and all expectations! We offer a high teacher-to-child ratio and our staff are sensitive and responsive to the children.
In addition to our enriching environment, stimulating play-based activities, and age-appropriate materials, we also provide healthy meals and snacks. We offer many opportunities for active outdoor and indoor play with sufficient time dedicated for the children to rest as well.
