Successful Child Care Leads to Brighter Futures

To help solve the complicated issues hindering access to child care in Michigan, we started the Our Strong Start team. OSS is tasked with building capacity and removing barriers. Due to Wonderschool's child care expertise and breadth of services and support they can provide, they were selected by policy makers as a partner to help drive our state-wide efforts. Wonderschool has become a valued partner in our efforts to improve Michigan child care.

Since 2020, we have partnered with Wonderschool to expand access to licensed child care and improve provider sustainability in a variety of settings. It’s important to clarify that Wonderschool is not a competitor to organizations like ours—they are a true collaborator. Their platform, team, and approach complement our services by offering infrastructure, coaching, and tools that help providers succeed at every stage. Their involvement has allowed us to accelerate our impact and reach more communities, particularly in rural and underserved areas, where technical and logistical barriers are often greatest. They work with state agencies and local organizations—not in competition with them—and have consistently delivered results in alignment with public-sector goals.

I have got my Wonderschool Daycare page up and running entirely and started billing my clients through the app this week. LOVE THIS! The ability to check in and out is seamless. I got my first payment today. Also, today I will start working on the startup grant. Communication is almost solely through the app now, which is so awesome. Thank you for helping me get back on track.

Wonderschool is an excellent tool for a provider who works out of their home alone. It condenses everything you need into one app. You can easily loop in families about what children are eating and learning at your program in a matter of minutes.
