Child care providers are awarded credits to post half- or full-day substitute jobs on the Wonderschool SubPool platform. Once the job is posted, an alert is sent to all available subs on the platform within a geographic radius who are a good match. When a sub expresses interest, the provider can review the sub’s application and interest, and then decide whether to hire her.
Once the provider chooses the sub, the provider gets digital access to all necessary documentation. If the provider requires reimbursement of payment, that is handled seamlessly by Wonderschool.
Individuals apply to Wonderschool to substitute teach. Qualified applicants are then helped through an onboarding process to ensure they meet state requirements. After completing a mandatory training, the substitute is then onboarded to the Wonderschool SubPool platform where she can immediately apply for posted jobs.
If a provider accepts the sub, the individual then has all the necessary information to go to the provider and substitute teach for a half- or full-day. After the provider approves the sub’s recorded hours, the sub is paid by the provider. In addition, Wonderschool provides financial bonuses and incentives to the sub for increased usage of the SubPool platform.
